MAKE UP

During the las semester you have been worked in a specific software like a WordPad, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint, in each program you have used Copy and Paste, Save and Open a file and finally you recognized the keyboard in its different parts for example When, How and Why use the keyas SHIFT AND CAPSLOCK to type different kind of test.

1. Open our specific program
    FIRST GRADERS (WORDPAD)
    SECOND GRADERS (MICROSOFT WORD)
    THIRD GRADERS (MICROSOFT POWERPOINT)

2. Click in the link showed in the step number 7

3. Type one of this stories using properly the keyboard and the posture to use a computer.

4. Save the document in Disco Local D:

6. Copy and paste some pictures for this story usin internet Google.

GOOD POSTURE AND THE KEYBOARD

Good posture is important to any surfer wanting to improve performance, reduce recov­ery time and stay injury free. This is because ideal posture is the position in which the musculoskeletal system functions optimally. The poorer your posture, the more energy it takes to move the body. Therefore, the better your postural alignment, the better your functional performance.

This is a CUT and PASTE exercise.
1. Open a new Word document and type your name at the top of the page
2. Type in the following days of the week in the incorrect order shown:
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Monday
Friday
Sunday
Saturday
3. Use the Copy tool to copy all the week list
4. Use the PASTE tool to paste the list in a new page
5. Use the CUT tool to cut Monday from the list
6. Use the PASTE tool to paste Monday above Tuesday
a. Ensure that the list shows each week day on a separate line

7. Use the CUT tool to cut Saturday from the list
8. Use the PASTE tool to paste Saturday above Sunday
9. Save the document on your floppy disc with file name 'Weekdays - cut and paste'. Print the document if you wish to.

OPEN AND SAVE OPTIONS

OPEN AND SAVE

The purpose of this lesson is to teach you how to Save . Before you can start with this topic, go ahead and load Microsoft Office
Menu Bar is the place where you get the menu-option to Save Word Document basic level or any level, for that matter.
Just see Graphic-1 below. You are looking at the Personalized Menu under "File". You will see options "Save" and "Save As".
a) Whenever you are working with a document and you would like to regularly keep saving it so that you do not lose your work, then you need to use "Save" Command.
b) When you are saving a document for the first time or when a saved document is already open and you would like to save it with a different name (i.e., you want to create a duplicate of the saved document), then you would use "Save As" Command.
Other ways to save as is:

Push and hold at the same time the key Ctrl + G is your version is in Spanish

or Ctrl + S when it is in English.

Or just push the function key F12

COPY AND PASTE

COPY, PASTE AND IMPORT

Copy definition: An imitation or reproduction of an original; a duplicate: a copy of a painting; made two copies of the letter. Select the text or the image to copy and press Ctrl+C, also you can click with the right button and choose copy or just go to menu Edit option copy.


Cut definition: Computer Science To remove (a segment) from a document or graphics file for storage in a buffer. Select the text or the image to cut and press Ctrl+X, also you can click with the right button and choose cut or just go to menu Edit option cut.

ste definition:Computer Science To insert text, graphics, or other data into a document or file. Go to the area you want to put the text or the image to paste and press Ctrl+V, also you can click with the right button and choose paste or just go to menu Edit option paste.



Import definition: Computer Science To receive (data) into one program from another. Select the file or the object to import and go to menu Insert option Object and then in the program you want to import that file.

Example: You draw a hhapy face in Paint Brush but you need it in PowerPoint or Microsoft word or in WordPad, you click in the menu Insert, Object
